How to Use the Copy From Functionality

Description: The “Copy From” functionality in AEFIS allows you to copy the Syllabus Form, Course Schedule, Assignments, and/or Assignment Linking from one Course/Co-curricular Section to another. This tool is useful for Course/Co-curricular Sections using similar course materials across terms or within the same term. This is especially useful to instructors who teach multiple sections of the same course. Applicable to: Institution Admin, College Admin, Department Admin, Course Coordinator, Instructors*, Course Section Directors*
*Instructors and Course Section Directors may only copy Section data from Sections where they are the instructor of record in AEFIS. They will not have access to copy from Sections they are not assigned to.

Step-by-Step…
Step 1: Log into your AEFIS account
Step 2: On your Dashboard, locate the My Course Sections & Syllabi Widget
Step 3: Select the blue pencil icon next to the corresponding Course Section in which you would like to work
Step 4: Select the Actions drop-down in the top right corner
Step 5: Select the Copy From option
Step 6: Select the drop-down arrow next to each required parameter to populate the Term, Subject, Course, and Course Section from which you would like to copy
Please note: You may only copy Assignment Linking(s) if the Sections share the same parent Course.
Step 7: Select the checkbox next to the elements you would like to copy over from the chosen Course Section
IMPORTANT: Please note that any attributes you choose to copy from a different Course Section will OVERWRITE the existing information for the Course Section in which you are working.
Step 8: Select the blue COPY button
Step 9: The selected attributes will copy over and appear within the Course Section in question
